ISER-N is pleased to announce a short-term training on “Survey Data Analysis” (December 20-24, 2012). This training is being organized in collaboration with the Survey Research Center (SRC) of the University of Michigan, USA. This is an effort toward the institute’s research capacity building goal in the region.

This training on Survey Data Analysis is designed to provide practical skills on survey data analysis techniques using the commonly available computer software, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). This course will provide opportunity to familiarize with various large scale survey data such as Population Census, Chitwan Valley Family Study (CVFS) data, Nepal Demographic Health Survey (NDHS) data, and Nepal Living Standard Survey (NLSS), etc.; use the data to learn various data analytical techniques; and interpretation of the results.

This course is the standard module of the University of Michigan’s Survey Research Center (SRC) and will be jointly conducted by highly experienced resource persons of the University of Michigan, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and ISER-N. This residential training includes both lectures and intensive hands-on practice sessions
