Dr. Dirgha Ghimire
Dr. Ghimire, is research investigator at Population Studies Center at the University of Michigan and Executive Director and founder of the Institute for Social and Environmental Research, Nepal (ISER-N). He studies the relationship among social context, social change, family organization, marriage arrangement, and first birth timing in Nepal. His research also includes the inter relationship between population and environmental dynamics.
Krishna Ji Ghimire
Krishna Ji Ghimire (MBA) is an Executive Officer at the Institute for Social and Environmental Research-Nepal (ISER-N) since its establishment Year 2001. As an Executive Officer, Mr. Ghimire is responsible for overseeing the administrative and financial management aspects of the project that include acting as a liaison and coordinating with the local, regional and national government, acquiring appropriate government approvals, preparing budgets for projects and look over the financial report of the organization. Mr. Ghimire has taken several short term courses from the University of Michigan in Year 2000, 2003 and 2009 mainly Survey Research Techniques, Survey Data Analysis-I, Research Methods, Research Management and English Language training from the Michigan Language Center. Mr. Ghimire has a long term working experience with various collaborative Universities in the United States.
Indra Kumari Chaudhary
Indra Kumari Chaudhary (M.A. Sociology) is a Study Manager at the Institute for Social and Environmental Research-Nepal (ISER-Nepal) Fulbari, Chitwan since 2000. As a Study Manager, Ms. Chaudhary is responsible to manage Survey Activities in the field including questionnaire design, translation, pre-testing, finalization of data collection instruments and survey administration and management. Similarly, Ms Chaudhary provides different types of training to survey staff including General Interviewing Technique (GIT) Training and Study Specific Training to interviewers for survey data collection, manage, monitor, supervise evaluate and control the quality and reports about field activities. Ms. Chaudhary has taken several short term courses from the University of Michigan in 1999 and 2003, namely Survey Research Techniques, Questionnaire Design, Questionnaire Testing Methods, and Qualitative Methods: Overview and Semi-structured Interview training, Survey Data Analysis-I, and Survey Data Analysis Training at ISER-N.
Bishnu Prasad Adhikari (M.A. Sociology) is a Data Manager at The Institute for Social and Environmental Research-Nepal (ISER-Nepal) Fulbari, Chitwan since 2001. As a Data Manager, Mr. Adhikari is responsible to manage longitudinal panel data, data quality control and analysis of data, manage computer assisted data collection programming, and teach short-term courses; Survey Research Techniques and Survey Data Analysis Training as a teaching assistant at ISER-Nepal. Mr. Adhikari has taken several short term courses from the University of Michigan in 2001, 2009 and 2013, namely Survey Research Techniques, Questionnaire Design, Survey Data Analysis and Computer Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) Operation and Data Management Training.
Tula Ram Sijali
Mr. Tula Ram Sijali (M Ed and MA) is a study manager at the Institute for Social and Environmental Research-Nepal (ISER-N) since 2013. As a study manager, Mr. Sijali is responsible for managing the epidemiological studies in the organization. He is managing a case-control, and cross sectional study in the organization funded by National Institute for Environment Health Sciences (NIEH) and Global Alliance for Clean Cookstove USA. Mr. Sijali has more than two decades working experience in the development sectors with different national and international development organizations. Mr. Sijali has taken Survey Data Analysis training from the institute in 2015.
