For the past 17 years, in collaboration with institutions and universities in Nepal and abroad, ISER-N has collected a large number of longitudinal panel and cross-sectional data from:

* 151 neighborhoods - histories of contextual change, land use, non-family services and armed conflict

* Over 2,600 households - farming practices, environmental perception, consumption, assets, earnings, expenditures

* Over 10,000 individuals - education, work, migration, marital and childbearing experiences, mental health, elderly health, attitudes and beliefs about HIV/AIDS, religion, family life and societal attributes

* Monthly registration of marriage, birth, contraceptive use, migration, living arrangements and death

* Botanical information from 265 forest and common land sample plots
